Swipe2Vote is a web-based polling platform that allows:

  • Poll creators to create polls with options and share them via links.
  • Voters to vote by swiping through poll option cards anonymously.

The Service is provided "as is" and may change or be discontinued at any time.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using Swipe2Vote, you represent that you meet this requirement.

4. User Accounts

  • Accounts are required only for poll creators.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and any activity that occurs under it.
  • You agree to provide accurate and complete information when signing up.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Swipe2Vote to:

  • Create polls containing illegal, harmful, obscene, or abusive content.
  • Harass, threaten, or discriminate against any person or group.
  • Collect personal data from voters in an unlawful manner.
  • Attempt to hack, disrupt, or overload the Service.
  • Impersonate another person or organisation.
  • Use automated tools to generate artificial votes or manipulate results.

We reserve the right to remove any content and suspend any account that violates these rules, without notice.

6. Voter Usage

  • Voting does not require an account.
  • Each vote session is tracked by an anonymous session ID stored in your browser.
  • Votes are final. The Service does not guarantee that individual votes can be modified or withdrawn after submission.
  • By enabling voter name collection, poll creators take responsibility for obtaining appropriate consent from their voters.

7. Content Ownership

  • You retain ownership of the content you create (poll titles, descriptions, options, images).
  • By creating a poll, you grant Swipe2Vote a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to store, display, and distribute your content solely for the purpose of operating the Service.
  • You are solely responsible for ensuring your content does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws.

8. Image Uploads

  • You may upload images to use as poll option cards.
  • Accepted formats: JPEG, PNG, WebP. Maximum file size: 5 MB per image.
  • Uploaded images are stored in a publicly accessible storage bucket. Do not upload confidential or sensitive images.
  • We reserve the right to remove images that violate these Terms.

9. Sharing Limits and Fair Use

Free tier usage is subject to limits on the number of poll options and responses, as set out in our tier configuration. We reserve the right to adjust these limits at any time with reasonable notice.

10. Intellectual Property

All trademarks, logos, and service marks displayed on Swipe2Vote are the property of their respective owners. The Swipe2Vote name, logo, and product design are owned by us. You may not use them without our prior written consent.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SWIPE2VOTE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Swipe2Vote and its operators from any claims, losses, or damages arising out of your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause. You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will do so.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the latest version. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator is based. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
